Nancy Lieberman is a two-time Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee and one of the most influential leaders in the history of professional sports. A two-time Olympian and silver medalist, Nancy led Old Dominion University to two national championships and earned National Player
of the Year honors before becoming one of the most accomplished figures in basketball across playing, coaching, and executive leadership.
Nancy is a true barrier-breaker. She was the first woman to serve as both General Manager and Head Coach of a WNBA franchise, delivered the highest winning percentage of any
WNBA expansion team, and later became the second woman to coach in the NBA as an Assistant Coach with the Sacramento Kings. She also made history as the first woman to lead an NBA Development League team to the playoffs as Head Coach of the Dallas Mavericks’ G-League affiliate.
In the BIG3 professional league, Nancy became the first woman to serve as Head Coach of a men’s professional team—and the first to win a championship, leading Team Power to the 2018 title. She has since earned BIG3 Coach of the Year honors in both 2018 and 2025, reinforcing her status as one of the most successful coaches in professional basketball.
Beyond the court, Nancy is a globally recognized humanitarian and advocate, honored with the Martin Luther King Jr. National Civil Rights Museum Sports Legacy Award, the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, and induction into the International Sports Hall of
Fame. She is also the Founder and President of Nancy Lieberman Charities, supporting youth and families through education, sports, and community impact.

Michael D. Thompson is a visionary entrepreneur driven by a belief that stories, when told with purpose, can shape culture and create lasting impact. Based in the DMV area,
his journey reflects a lifelong commitment to bridging sports, business, and innovation in meaningful ways.
Michael began his entrepreneurial journey in the financial services industry in 1998, where he spent decades helping individuals and businesses build stability, confidence,
and long-term opportunity. That foundation of discipline and strategic thinking became the backbone of everything that followed.
In 2010, he expanded into media by launching a production company centered on storytelling—spotlighting the lives, development, and education of professional athletes and the deeper journeys behind the game. His work consistently focused on growth, character, and the human side of success.
Michael’s path later led him deeper into sports ownership, becoming a co-owner of the Dallas Power in the BIG3 professional basketball league in 2022, further solidifying his role at the intersection of sports and leadership.
Today, Michael’s primary focus is The Long Game, Inc., a comprehensive media platform built around sports, business, and storytelling. As co-founder alongside Nancy

Jay Harris is Al and Ola’s son, Stephanie’s husband, Bryce and Tyra’s dad. He’s also a Sportscenter Anchor, in his 23rd year at ESPN. Jay came to ESPN from WPGH-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was weeknight main news anchor. Jay also did local and national radio in Pittsburgh. He began his career in local radio in Portsmouth,
Virginia.
A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Jay graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in speech communication in 1987. In 2003 he was honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University. He’s twice been Old Dominion’s commencement speaker and served 8 years on the University’s Board of Visitors. Growing up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Jay considers himself a country boy at heart. He’s an award-winning journalist who loves to play golf, even though golf doesn’t always love him. He has a heart for kids and volunteer work, is a proud Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and in his spare time enjoys hanging with his family and playing his bass guitar.
